A separate dialysis unit operating round-the-clock has been functioning since 1977.
The hospital is well-known all over the State for the effective management of snakebite cases with acute renal failure.
A full-fledged department has been functioning since 1996 with 24 hour dialysis backup
for both hemo and peritoneal dialysis and also hemoperfusion.
The unit also handles acute renal failure from various other causes like leptospirosis,
malaria, gastroenteritis, rhabdomyolysis, wasp bite, etc.
It takes care of both acute and ESRD patients and prepare patients for transplantation.
