Compilation, classification and cataloguing of inpatient and outpatient records to ensure continuity of medical care, aiding administrative process and for legal purposes. It is a computerized medical record department contain 5, 25000 records. There is a separate MRD for Ophthalmology and contain 4,40000records.
The patient registration is computerized so that the records can retrieve to the concerned department without any delay. After OP & IP consultation the records assembled and filed chronologically. For the research purpose all the IP records are coded by ICD- 10th revision. The medical records maintained for 5 years. The patient can register birth & death within 24hrs through the online system connected with the municipality (KIOSK)
